Ca’ Pesaro. Visit
The three floors of Ca’ Pesaro have maintained the appearance of a valuable 17th century Baroque building, made unique thanks to the designs of Maestro Baldassarre Longhena.
The large windows facing the Grand Canal illuminate the refined spaces that are home to 20th century masterpieces.
In the rooms you can admire paintings and drawings by Gustav Klimt, Marc Chagall, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Henri Matisse, as well as a broad range of sculptures by Medardo Rosso, Auguste Rodin, Arturo Martini and Giacomo Manzù.
You can further enrich your trip by visiting the Oriental Art Museum located on the third floor and included in your ticket.
Following the donation of 82 masterpieces by the Carraro Foundation, a new exhibition was opened in 2017, expanding the contemporary art sections with Arte Povera and conceptual art works by Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, Giovanni Anselmo, Jannis Kounellis and Bruce Nauman, among others.
The gallery’s strong association with modern art is also underlined by the numerous temporary exhibitions which are held on a rotation basis in the rooms of the second floor, making this museum a genuine hub of Venetian culture.
Ca’ Pesaro is rooted in the past but looks towards the future. Don’t miss the chance to discover its hidden charms and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
