Museo del Merletto in Burano. History
The museum is housed in the historic Lace School of Burano, founded in 1872 by Countess Adriana Marcello.
Today the museum conserves part of the School’s lace collection and Venetian masterpieces from between the 16th and 20th centuries which illustrate the development of an ancient art that has never gone out of fashion.
