The Miramare Castle and its extensive park embody the dream of Archduke Maximilian of Habsburg. The residence, built in Istrian stone between 1856 and 1860, stands on a promontory overlooking the sea.
The lush park surrounding Miramare Castle, home to a prestigious historical museum, covers 22 hectares. Within the park, you can also find the Castelletto and the Stables, which host temporary exhibitions.
