THE HOUSE OF MUSIC
The house is composed of multiple spaces: a Concert Hall, an Auditorium, a Library - Mediatheque for consultation and lending, equipped with listening room and internet stations, the Historical Archive of the Teatro Regio.
Each one has been designed and built for a particular function, so as to make the building the usual venue for various musical or spectacular events, conventions, seminars, presentations, video projections, cultural meetings, educational activities, exhibitions. The cloister also makes it possible to host outdoor musical events during the summer months.
The multimedia museum "Opera on stage: a journey into musical theatre in Parma" is housed inside the cloister, which takes its cue from the city's tradition to tell four centuries of the history of Italian opera theatre.
