On March 25th 1867 Arturo Toscanini was born in this house of the "oltretorrente", in a popular district of Parma; since January 16th 2007 the house has been museumized, to show us the truest face of the master.
Toscanini always remained tied to his neighbourhood, proud, politically restless, and where music was everywhere.

VISITING THE HOUSE
The house is now profoundly renovated in terms of museum and structure, but maintains all the characteristics and atmosphere of the place where it was born.
Every room and every glimpse tells aspects of the life and work of the great Master: "Parma and Toscanini", "His life", "The image of the myth", "His travelling companions", "Toscanini, the disc and the other media", "The years of the scale" and "Other memories...", these are the names of the sections that mark the path.
Today the house presents itself as a renewed and modern museum: a place dedicated to memory and to the objects that belonged to the master and at the same time to reflection. Here the historical document and the precious family memory are flanked by the most modern tools of multimedia technology.
