Housed in a Renaissance convent located above the ancient theatre, with a spectacular view over the city below, the museum displays – in an exhibition layout completely renovated in 2016 – Roman artefacts from both historic collections and the Verona area, including remarkable sculptures from the theatre and numerous fascinating bronze statuettes.
It houses scientific archives and a specialised library. The Roman Theatre, located on the slopes of Castel San Pietro hill, overlooking the Adige River and Ponte Pietra, is one of the best-preserved and most spectacular Roman theatres in northern Italy.
