The Museum della Città of Livorno is an extensive exhibition that, through works of art, photographs, relics and archaeological finds selected from the city's collections, tells the historical and cultural evolution of Livorno, from its origins to the present day.
The new exhibition itinerary is housed in the old Bottini dell'Olio building, in the heart of the La Venezia district, a large 18th century oil depot, commissioned by Cosimo III with large rooms and cross vaults once used to store oil. It is here that through objects, images, installations and multimedia supports you can retrace the history of Livorno, in a suggestive "journey" through time to recover its ancient memory.
