- students of advanced training courses at the Ministry Schools (Istituto Centrale per il Restauro, Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Scuola per il Restauro del Mosaico) and courses at the Regional Centre for Design and Restoration;
for teachers and students attending academies of fine arts or corresponding institutes of the European Union, by showing the certificate of inscription for the current academic year; - lecturers and students on degree courses, postgraduate or postgraduate degrees and PhD programmes in the following faculties: architecture, conservation of cultural heritage, educational science or literature and philosophy with an archaeological or historical-artistic focus. The same facilities are allowed to teachers and students of corresponding faculties or courses established in the States of the EU. Free admission is allowed to students by showing the certificate of enrolment for the current academic year, to teachers by the document;
- journalists certificating the payment of the membership fees, by showing a document proving their professional activity;
- the teaching staff of the permanent school and with a fixed-term contract, free entrance to museums, archaeological areas and parks and monumental complexes of the Region is allowed;
- the Military of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit;
- members of the I.C.C.R.O.M. (International Centre of Studies for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage).
- March 10 free admission for all visitors on the occasion of "The day of Sicilian Cultural Heritage"
- first Sunday of each month and April 25 - June 2 - November 4, 2023 free for all visitors

How to reach
By car: motorway A29/E90 or A19/E90, exit Corso Calatafimi towards Piazza Indipendenza/Palermo Centro. Exit the motorway and follow the signs for the Rice Museum.
By train: Palermo railway station (Centrale). Taxi service outside the station.
Walking: from Palermo Central Station, take Via Roma as far as the intersection with Corso Vittorio Emanuele, then turn left into Corso Vittorio Emanuele and proceed for about 400 mt. to the Rice Museum.
