Just a few steps from the sea and surrounded by a large garden, the Sartorio Museum welcomes visitors to an elegant and quiet 18th-century villa. Here, frescoes, gardens, and period furnishings recount the discreet charm of Trieste's high bourgeoisie.
Built in the 1700s and later renovated in a neoclassical style by Nicolò Pertsch, the villa was home to the Sartorio family until 1946, when it was donated to the city with the desire to preserve its original spirit.
