Inside the wonderful Parco del Colle Oppio you’ll find the entrance to the luxury residence of Emperor Nero and the new exhibition "L'amato di Iside. Nerone, la Domus Aurea e l'Egitto".
A unique experience that will take you into the heart of a genuine archaeological dig where you can observe the recovery and restoration phases ‘live’ and at the same time relive the dreams of a somewhat “extravagant” emperor.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the reopening to the public, the Domus Aurea welcomes for the first time an exhibition in the Octagonal Room: “L'amato di Iside. Nerone, la Domus Aurea e l'Egitto". An exceptional immersive exhibition dedicated to the rediscovery of ancient painting.

STARTING FROM AUGUST 1ST DOMUS AUREA AND L'AMATO DI ISIDE EXHIBITION TICKETS WILL BE NOMINATIVE AND WILL INCLUDE THE VISITOR'S PERSONAL DATA. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TICKETS ARE NOMINATIVE FOR EACH MEMBER OF A GROUP OR FAMILY UNIT AND IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE NAME AT ANY TIME AFTER PURCHASE. IN CASE OF MISMATCH WITH THE IDENTITY DOCUMENT, ACCESS TO THE DOMUS AUREA WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AND NO REFUND WILL BE GRANTED.
- The access is allowed to a maximum of 23 people, including guides and companions, for each time slot.
- Inside the domus the temperature is around 10 degrees. Appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended
- It is not possible to leave luggage.
