VISITING THE PALACE
A visit to the Palazzo will give you the chance to admire an important collection of Greek and Roman sculptures, which belonged to different Roman noble families between the 16th and 17th centuries, including the Boncompagni Ludovisi collection. You will find it impossible to remain unmoved in front of the Gaul Killing Himself and His Wife and the Ludovisi Battle sarcophagus.
From the main room you can access the church of Sant’Aniceto, a pleasant little temple located inside the Palazzo.
Palazzo Altemps is all of this: a piece of the city, a private residence, an elegant art gallery. From here you can also visit the National Roman Museum, perhaps joining a free guided tour: one museum leads to the next and at the end of your trip you will return home truly enriched by an unforgettable experience.
