Train: Varenna-Esino Station

• Get off at Varenna-Esino station. From the station, you can walk for about 10-15 minutes along the lakefront or follow the signs for Villa Monastero, which is located near the town center.

Bus: From the bus station, follow the signs for Villa Monastero, which is about a 5-10 minute walk.

By Lake: Varenna is connected by ferry boat with the towns of Bellagio, Cadenabbia, and Menaggio. It is one of the stops on the Como-Colico and Lecco-Bellagio routes.

Car: From Milan: Take the A9 motorway towards Como/Chiasso, exit at Como Nord and follow the signs for Lecco on the SS36; from Lecco, follow the signs for Varenna on the SS583. The entrance is located at Viale Giovanni Polvani 4.
