Transportation
Train: Varenna-Esino Station
Get off at Varenna-Esino station.
From the station, you can walk about 10–15 minutes along the lakeside promenade or follow the signs to Villa Monastero, which is located near the town center.
Bus:
From the bus station, follow the signs to Villa Monastero, which is about a 5–10 minute walk.
By Lake:
Varenna is connected by ferry boat to the towns of Bellagio, Cadenabbia, and Menaggio. It is one of the stops along the Como–Colico and Lecco–Bellagio routes.
By Car:
From Milan: Take the A9 motorway towards Como/Chiasso, exit at Como Nord and follow signs for Lecco on the SS36; from Lecco, follow signs for Varenna on the SS583.
The entrance is located at Viale Giovanni Polvani 4.
