The Synagogue is probably part of the oldest Jewish nucleus in Tuscany.
The Synagogue of Pisa, recently renovated with an important intervention completed in 2015, is located in a 14th century building converted into a place of worship in 1595. It underwent a first restoration in 1785, then it was completely renovated around 1860 to a design by the Piedmontese architect Marco Treves. Visiting the Synagogue of Pisa means experiencing an exciting chapter in the history of the Tuscan Jewish community!
You can also complete your experience by visiting the Cemetary.
