An exclusive event dedicated to discovering lesser-known but essential places in the daily life of Miramare Castle!
Starting from the Castle entrance, you reach the kitchens where food was prepared for the court. The restoration and new layout allow visitors to admire the museum’s rich collection of porcelain, glassware, and silverware. From the kitchens, you ascend to the Castelletto, the first building constructed for Massimiliano and Carlotta. On the ground floor, there is a brand new bookshop for Park visitors, and on the upper floor, fascinating rooms such as the Flemish Room, the Moorish Sitting Room, and the (unfurnished) Bedroom.

How to reach
Train: get off at Trieste Centrale station and then take a taxi or bus; or get off at Trieste Miramare station.
Bus: from Trieste station, exit onto Viale Miramare and take bus lines no. 6 or no. 36 (same route with slight seasonal variations) towards MIRAMARE-GRIGNANO.
From Slovenia:
From the Sesana-Fernetti border crossing: continue towards Opicina, follow the signs for Trieste and Miramare. Distance from the border: 9.5 km.
From the Skofie-Rabuiese border crossing: continue towards Aquilinia, follow the signs for Trieste and Miramare. Distance from the border: 16 km.
Car: Take the A4 highway towards Trieste, exit at the Monfalcone Est tollbooth ("Lisert"), continue until you take the "Sistiana" exit, follow the Regional Road 14 (panoramic coastal road, formerly SS14), then turn right at the "Grignano Mare" sign (secondary entrance to the Miramare Park – Grignano side), or at the next sign for "Castello di Miramare" (main entrance to Miramare Park – seaside, "Viale Miramare").
On foot: from the port, park entrance from Grignano in 5 minutes; from Miramare train station, 15 minutes through via Beirut.

Partially accessible: entry to the kitchens is only possible via a staircase.
