The site is to be found among the narrow streets and panoramic viewpoints of Bacoli, near the Church of St. Anne, the initial gathering point of a community dedicated to fishing and agriculture.

BRIEF HISTORICAL NOTES
Cento Camerelle is another of the Roman cisterns in the area, demonstrating that water supply for the large residences was a constant in these places. It consists of a superimposition of several construction phases, of which the underlying Republican one, with a different orientation, is only partially explored and not accessible, and it reached the sea. The Imperial age sector that overlaps it, changing orientation, is characterized by 4 quadrangular pillars that divide the space into naves and support barrel vaults. The cistern was certainly connected to a lavish imperial residence that belonged to Quintus Hortensius Hortalus and was subsequently inhabited by Emperors such as Nero. It featured fishponds and nymphaea with spectacular water features.

Naples International Airport is approximately 27 km from Cento Camerelle. Car: From the highways, take the Tangenziale of Naples towards Pozzuoli. Exit at number 14 – Arco Felice. Go through the tunnel, continue for about 600 meters on Via Miliscola, reach Baia, and continue towards Bacoli.
