BRIEF HISTORICAL OVERVIEW The museum houses artifacts from the historical and cultural evolution of the ancient Numana region and the Conero Riviera to the south of Ancona. A visit to the museum takes you through prehistory, the Iron Age, and up to the Imperial Roman era. The exhibition is particularly dedicated to the Iron Age and the Picene civilization, showcasing representative artifacts found in various excavations.
