Contemporary artists explore the relationship between man and nature at Miramare Castle in Trieste.
A major group exhibition that explores the theme of nature and its profound link with the human being, curated by Melania Rossi.
Over fifty works by eighteen contemporary artists of different generations and geographical origins: from the works of masters such as Rebecca Horn (Michelstadt, 1944 – Bad König, 2024), Hermann Nitsch (Vienna 1938 – Mistelbach 2022), Marina Abramovic (Belgrade, 1946) and Mimmo Paladino (Paduli, 1948), to the site-specific installations created specifically for the exhibition by Pietro Ruffo (Rome, 1978) and Josè Angelino (Ragusa, 1977), from unpublished works by Serse Roma (San Polo di Piave, 1952) to the particular installations by Marta Roberti (Brescia, 1977) up to the visions between east and west by Liu Bolin (China, 1973).
The exhibition project addresses the complexity of nature and of man who investigates it, in a multiplicity of meanings and themes: the presence of man in the landscape, the relationship with the body, with time, with the beauty of natural forms and with physical laws. The continuous exchange between the external and internal world thus generates a boundless space in which culture and nature merge and which becomes visible through the imagination of the artists. The exhibition is part of the Miramare contemporanea exhibition, organized by MondoMostre and CoopCulture.
