A new musical tour is now available, guiding visitors through the ancient papal residence.
Visitors will be guided by Maestro Giovanni Bietti, a composer, pianist, and musicologist regarded as one of Italy's foremost music communicators. The tour begins at the Bastion of San Matteo with the first listening segment. You will be accompanied by music from Tosca, recorded live on January 14, 2025, at the Teatro Costanzi. This recording marks the 125th anniversary of the opera's world premiere, which took place in the very same theatre. The performance features the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, with the participation of the Scuola di Canto Corale. Conductor: Michele Mariotti; Chorus Master: Ciro Visco.
