Archaeological artifacts, 3D models, video mapping, and digital reconstructions trace the evolution of the temple through its various phases.
The tour grants access to the Basilica of Neptune—spaces hitherto virtually unknown located behind the Rotunda. Through their historical layers, these areas reveal the monument's history from the Roman age to the present day. Meanwhile, a cinematic interplay of lights and projections recreates the "special effects" of the Oculus, showing how the Pantheon was conceived as a vast cosmic instrument. Visitors thus witness the journey of light through the building, experiencing the monument in its original relationship with time, the sky, and the rhythm of the solar year.
