• For school groups from the European Union accompanied by their teachers, booking is mandatory and free of charge. This entitles students and teachers to free admission, subject to the availability quota established by the museum director.
• School groups must be organised in groups of a maximum of 16 students, including chaperones (28 for the Boboli Gardens).
• Please note: Once the daily quota has been filled, students and accompanying teachers may access the museums under standard admission procedures, in compliance with:

• Current ticketing regulations (Admission Concessions);

• Rules regarding reservations;

• Rules applicable to groups (large group surcharge and mandatory earphones).

The use of earphones is also mandatory for school groups. Children up to the end of primary school are exempt from this requirement. Accompanying teachers are considered equivalent to tour guides; therefore, they cannot provide explanations without using earphones and are responsible for supervising the minors and school groups. If groups do not have their own earphones, they can be rented inside the museums. Should teachers not intend to provide explanations and wish to be exempt from the mandatory use of earphones, they can fill out a specific declaration, which can be downloaded at this link: Waiver for the use of earphones.

• School groups wishing to visit the Boboli Gardens may only enter through the Annalena, Porta Romana, and Forte Belvedere entrances. Access to the Gardens from the Ammannati Courtyard in Pitti Palace is reserved exclusively for school groups holding a combined Boboli Gardens + Pitti Palace ticket.
• As provided for by Italian Legislative Decree 507/97, permanent or fixed-term school teaching staff are entitled to free admission upon presentation of a valid certificate issued by their educational institution, using the template provided by the Ministry of Education and Merit. This concession is available to Italian teachers only. The certificate is valid for one year.
• On days (or during time slots) with free admission, it is not possible to book entry. Priority access is suspended, except for persons with disabilities (including their legal companion), pregnant women, and EU school groups that are within the daily quota established by the Director.

• Please be advised that even if online tickets are sold out, the museum's on-site ticket offices remain fully operational.

• However, on expected high-attendance days (with the exception of free admission days), prior booking is strongly recommended. Visitors without a reservation may face long wait times or find that on-site ticket availability has been exhausted.
