CID/Arti Visive is a library containing over 60,000 items, including monographs, catalogs, magazines (330 publications, of which 65 are still active) and video materials on the exhibitions and events held at Centro Pecci since 1988, as well as recordings of the educational workshops of Bruno Munari.
The library specializes in the documentation on art movements of the 20th and 21st centuries and on events and exhibitions held in the most important national and international institutions (museums, foundations, public facilities, and private galleries).

Since its opening in 1989, the library’s collection has grown thanks to acquisitions and donations of private collections of critics, publishers, artists and art scholars such as Ferruccio Marchi, Giancarlo Politi, Ermanno Migliorini, Sergio Santi, Amnon Barzel, Egidio Mucci and others.

The CID/Visual Arts consultations room is temporary moved to the main floor, next to the main entrance at Viale della Repubblica 277.
Loan is temporary suspended over all the Prato's Librarian System until a day to be defined.

Transportation
By bus: from Florence Santa Maria Novella train Station: CAP and Lazzi routes to Prato
By train: Bologna-Florence line and Florence-Lucca-Viareggio line: Prato Centrale station. From the station it is possible to take a bus (LAM BLUE line), which stops in viale della repubblica about 200 metres from the museum.
By car: motorway A11 Firenze - Pisa, exit Prato est. Paying car parks are available all along viale della repubblica, or you can park in the free car park of the Unieuro-Il Globo shops, not far from the museum.
By bus: the CAP and Lazzi bus lines provide a connection service between Florence and Prato departing every 15 minutes from Santa Maria Novella station.
Visiting Rules
It's possible to access from the ticket office of the museum, where the receptionist will misure the visitors temperature (it won't be request any registration - privacy)
Library access it's open up to three people at the same time; to optimize the service it's asked to add a reservation within indication about needed material to be consulted.
To access all the visitors must have personal safety protection devices (face mask) and wash hands with the disinfection gel available at the main entrance; all the users can leave their object at the closet available to all the visitors, asking to the workers at the ticket office.
