Contemporary art exhibition curated by Romina Guidelli
With the exhibition Patina Memoriae, contemporary art returns to inhabit the Roman Houses of the Celio with an extraordinary showcase of the artist Alessio Deli. Deli, a timeless sculptor, reinterprets classical and Renaissance art through sculpture, shaped by the firm and powerful gesture of the contemporary man. The artist explores fundamental principles cherished by the Greeks and Romans—grace, balance, harmony, and proportion—transforming them into the driving force behind his research, aimed at executing classical sculpture in a modern key. Deli both interprets and disrupts this discipline through interventions that manipulate matter: tears and fragmentations, skillfully controlled on challenging mediums such as bronze, plaster, and the delicate clay—materials that undeniably test the artist’s mastery.
