To celebrate the day of Valentine's Day, the Park of Portofino organizes a walk in the beautiful scenery of Monte, along the path that from San Rocco di Camogli, passing by the Batteries, arrives at Passo del Bacio and then continue until San Fruttuoso. The Passo del Bacio, to be covered with great care, is characterized by an overhang that faces the path, between rocks overlooking the sea, exciting in all its wild beauty. The most difficult points of the route are equipped with chains that guarantee the safety of those who transit.
Why is it called "Passo del Bacio"?
The legend tells of a tender, as opposed love between a boy and a girl. Rather than separate for the wishes of relatives, the two young men preferred to die kissing one last time before throwing themselves together in a vacuum. From that day on, this local version of Romeo and Juliet gave the place its name.
The appointment is at 9.00 am in front of the Church of San Rocco di Camogli.
End of the excursion at about 12.00 in San Fruttuoso.
At the end the participants can return autonomously on foot or by boat (for Camogli)
