The museum has one of the richest archaeological collections in Italy.
Here are preserved, for example, two large anthropomorphic sarcophagi from the 5th century B.C., the so-called Palermo Stone (a fragment in diorite dating back to the Pharaonic period), the Metope of the Temple of Selinunte, and many finds belonging to the different phases of the millenary Sicilian history. The visit will be a rich and involving experience, discovering these unique pieces.
