Located under Piazza del Popolo, the Roman cisterns of the city of Todi are a true monument of hydraulic engineering.
Under the roads and houses of Todi there are over 3 km of water tunnels, Roman and medieval cisterns, and hundreds of wells, cellars and cavities; a fascinating system of underground architectures that wind around the inside of the hill of Todi, skilfully exploiting the characteristics of the land.
