The Domus Transitoria is certainly worth a visit because of the preciousness of the decorations of the rooms that anticipate, for magnificence, those of the Domus Aurea.
Emperor Nero dedicated a great deal of effort to the construction and decoration of his private palace, which made it possible to "transit" from the Palatine to the Esquiline.

THE VISIT TO THE "TRANSITIONAL" DOMUS
Throughout the route, Nero's first palace on the Palatine will win you over with the remains of his frescoes, pictorial plasters, the coloured marbles of the floor and wall coverings: plant motifs and curvilinear geometric elements combine in the alternation of the four marble species preferred by the Emperor, the red porphyry, the Greek green porphyry, the ancient yellow and the peacock from all over the Mediterranean basin.
The special lighting, multimedia installations and a virtual reality viewer to observe the realistic reconstruction of the triclinium and the nymphaeum will allow you to live an immersive and exciting visit experience.
To complete your knowledge of this exceptional monument, go to the nearby Palatine Museum where you can see some of the finds found in the Domus.
All you have to do is read all the details to organise your visit.
