To celebrate the two thousandth anniversary, it was reorganized antiquarium of the Villa of Livia, wife of Augustus, ad Gallinas Albas, in the district of Prima Porta, with the arrangement of the famous lauretum
The Villa of Livia at Prima Porta, along the Via Flaminia, is a monument of great historical and archaeological importance. The Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Rome has for years been working on the recovery and study of the remaining structures, which now present themselves to the public after a series of enhancement measures. It is provided for the restoration of the wall paintings, mosaics and stone facings, to reset lauretum, the famous garden of Livia already known in ancient sources, and the rearrangement of the antiquarium, which collects artifacts and tells the story of the excavation of the site.
