Of wizards, necromancers, shepherds and other crafts: an extraordinary itinerary in an extraordinary Colosseum
The evening itinerary, as the big new of this summer edition 2020, will allow the visitors to walk inside the Monument at the discovery of some graffiti, mainly present in the northern ambulacrum of the 1st order and belonging to the period between Late Middle Ages and 17th century. It will be possible to see people’s names, dates, sacred and profane symbols that illustrate fragments of stories about common people who lived, worked and hung out at Colosseum, when the Monument was almost isolated from the rest of the city and that offer a different and unexpected image as well as a testament of the assiduous human contacts which characterized it through time.
