The  African Union and European Commission have come together to establish the AUEU Youth Cooperation Hub and oversee the implementation of pilot projects presented at the 2017 AU-EU Summit. The projects are implemented by civil society organizations (CSOs) and divided into 6 different clusters namely governance, accountability and democratic inclusion; education; peace and security; business, entrepreneurship and job creation; culture, arts and sports, environment preservation and climate change; digital cluster.
The #ArtXchange project represents the ‘Culture, Arts and Sports’ cluster. The project seeks to enhance inclusion, empowerment and connection for youth in the creative sector in Africa and Europe by supporting young creative professionals, civil society organizations and organizations and promoting collaboration, capacity building and exchanges in Kenya, Somalia, Italy and Sweden.
